*****About Persians*****
Persians are a wonderful, extremely popular breed of
cat that has been around for many years. These beauties are known for their long, luscious coats, precious round heads with
adorable matching round eyes and some of the sweetest expressions ever known in the cat world with their darling faces. There
are 2 "types" of Persians widely seen today. Doll-faced or Traditional old-style Persians have a more "open" look to their
faces with longer muzzles/noses. Extreme, show-quality or peke-faced Persians are those that are desireable in the show ring
with very flat, "scowled" appearance due to their much shorter muzzles, an a nose that is placed closer between the eyes as
opposed to the lower nose setting of a doll-face. Doll-faced Persians are bred to be as similar to extreme faced (flat face
or "show type") persians in every aspect except for the longer muzzle. Many people unfamiliar with the breed sometimes
mistake doll-faced Persians for a Persian mix. While in fact, these Persians are often registered and pedigreed and are many
times out of the same litter as an extreme-faced Persian. Often, doll-faces are considered "pet-quality" as they wouldn't
do well in the show ring due to their nose being longer than the standard calls for. These doll-faced Persians, however, are
the traditional Persians from long ago, possessing the old style look of their ancestors. Both types are equally as gorgeous
in their own ways and are generally as healthy. However, some extreme show Persians can be more prone to URIs or breathing
difficulties due to their dramatic anatomy. As a breed, both types are a laid back cat, known for their calm demeanor,
loving temperament, and personality. These cats did not gain #1 popularity by chance, they truly are amazing, elegant, regal
creatures synonymous with royalty and grace.
*****About
Napoleons*****
Napoleons are a rare, but an up and coming breed
that are a result from crossing Persians with Munchkins. These cats encompass the gorgeous, sweet characteristics of both
breeds; the precious personality, gorgeous faces, amazing colors, various coat lengths, long-legged (non-standard) and short-legged
(standard), they are in our opinion the cutest cats on the planet! Also, their coats tend to be more manageable than most
Persian's coats. They are an actual breed, and are registered as expirimental through TICA. This is also a very hardy
and healthy breed, and unlike Dachshund dogs, they are not plagued with the spinal defects from their short stature. These
beauties are known for their great health, amazing temperament and unsurpassed looks! They truly are fairytale kitties!
